These Terms & Conditions apply to all work carried out by Roburn. By requesting a quote, paying a deposit, or proceeding with any work, you agree to the following terms.
1. Quotations
All quotations are provided based on the information available at the time and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Quotes are estimates; any changes to the scope requested by the client may result in revised pricing.
2. Bookings & Deposits
A booking is confirmed only once a deposit has been received. Deposits are non-refundable as they secure your slot and cover initial planning, bespoke procurement, and scheduling. Roburn reserves the right to decline or cancel bookings at its discretion.
3. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be agreed prior to work commencing and may include staged payments. Final payment must be cleared in full before the vehicle is released. Roburn reserves the right to exercise a lien over the vehicle—retaining possession until all outstanding balances are settled in full.
4. Scope of Work
All work will be carried out as agreed in writing. Any additional work requested after the project has commenced must be approved and will incur additional costs and potentially extended timelines.
5. Customer-Supplied Vehicles
Customers are responsible for ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy and free from significant defects not previously disclosed. Roburn is not responsible for pre-existing mechanical or structural faults. All personal belongings must be removed prior to drop-off.
6. Timelines & Delays
Completion dates are estimates. Roburn will not be liable for delays caused by supply chain issues, unforeseen complications, or third-party dependencies. We will communicate any significant delays as soon as they become apparent.
7. Inspection & Acceptance
Customers must inspect the vehicle upon completion. By taking possession of the vehicle, the customer confirms that the work has been completed to a satisfactory standard.
8. Consumer Rights & Warranty
Statutory Rights:
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Workmanship Guarantee:
All workmanship is covered under Roburn’s Workmanship Guarantee (see separate policy). This applies only to the original installation and does not cover misuse, fair wear and tear, or modifications made by third parties.
9. Liability
Roburn accepts liability for direct loss or damage caused by our negligence. We are not liable for pre-existing faults, loss of personal items left in the vehicle, or indirect or consequential losses (including loss of earnings or business interruption).
10. Cancellations
If a booking is cancelled by the customer, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations made within 14 days of the start date may incur further charges to cover materials ordered specifically for your build.
11. Storage & Collection
Vehicles must be collected within 3 working days of notification of completion. Roburn reserves the right to charge a daily storage fee for vehicles not collected within this timeframe.
12. Ownership of Materials (Retention of Title)
All materials, components, and installations remain the legal property of Roburn until full payment has been received in cleared funds.
13. Use of Images
Roburn reserves the right to photograph completed work for marketing and promotional purposes. If you wish to opt out of this, please notify us in writing.
14. Data Protection
We process your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Full details can be found in our Privacy Policy. We use your data solely for the purpose of fulfilling your contract and service requirements.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. Acceptance
By proceeding with any booking or payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
